Yearbook Class of 2020-2021

Merrick Deneen

Staff Reporter

This year’s yearbook class has had to get creative when it came to communicating and remaining productive, but these hard workers will not let something little like a pandemic get in the way of yearbook greatness.

Although COVID-19 has brought on some challenges, the new approach that is being taken to put this year’s book together will make it “the most unique yearbook that the school will ever see”. From the very first day of school a detailed and outlined game-plan has been set up to create a yearbook that this school will not soon forget. As in person learning has been put into effect the yearbook class has adapted to remain productive amidst all the confusion. As usual the operation is very secretive as to give students something surprising to look forward to at the end of the year, but I can say firsthand that all the student’s creativity and positive thinking will truly shine.

There are plans to cover all events from football games to theatre productions. The whole class is working together as a team whether they are online or in-person. Students are working in teams or partners for a lot of the spreads and if they are not together in person, they make it work by talking through email or on the phone.

Ms. Farrell's leadership and motivation has truly brought the class together and makes it much easier to remain productive as things get difficult. It is very easy to have fun in a class when your teacher enjoys their work and spreads positivity.

Yearbook students will be all around campus taking photos and conducting interviews, so if you have something that you would like to share or say that could be featured in this year's book, don’t hesitate to find one of us and let us know. There is always room for a good story.

It is a bit early in the year to make assumptions about the book, but I have seen the true talent that this year’s class has to offer. From first timers to yearbook veterans, everybody will get to participate in making this year’s yearbook one to remember.
