Homecoming week

It is that time of the year again! Homecoming is just one week away here at Ironwood High School. This is a great time to get involved, have fun and enjoy the experiences. There will be festivities and spirit taking place all through the week of September 30th until October 5th!

The theme of this year’s homecoming is “Eagle’s Soar Around the World”, where student’s will be dressing and participating in spirit days: Eagles take off (09/30), Trip to the Carribean (10/01), Into the Safari (10/02), Hollywood Double Feature (10/03) and lastly, Eagles Bringing it Home (10/04)! Ironwood is incredibly excited for its first spirit week of the school year!

On Wednesday, October 2nd, as students dress as a safari animal or tour guide, the iconic homecoming parade will also take place. This is a time for students to support all clubs, sports and extracurricular activities that help homecoming become a special event for everyone to remember! Clubs will pick a specific place to represent, and the Eagles will watch them bring their chosen place to life in the parade!

Thursday, October 3rd, the TNT carnival will be hosted at Ironwood; an event for students to bring friends, play games, and have fun!  Do not forget to buy tickets for $5 at the door!

Friday and Saturday are the biggest days of homecoming week for the Eagles! On Friday night the football team will take on Agua Fria High School for its homecoming game! Students can come out and support the team and cheer them to victory! The week is then wrapped up with the homecoming dance on Saturday, October 5th. Students must have a signed code of conduct, a student ID and bookstore fees over $50 to purchase tickets. Do not wait! Tickets are $20 for presale and $30 at the door!

Enjoy a fantastic homecoming week, Eagle’s; and have fun soaring the world!
