Andrea Zamora Leon
My name is Andrea Zamora Leon. I am a first-year student this year. I have only attended Ironwood for a couple of months since I am only a first-year student. Before I was at Ironwood, I was at Desert Palms elementary. So far, I like this school. I took this class because they mixed up my schedule. They gave me some options, but I decided to go with Journalism since my friend told me it was a good class, and I also enjoy writing, So I felt like I would enjoy this class. I played soccer when I was younger, and I might be doing it again.
Rachel Mealy
Hello all! My name is Rachel Mealy. I am a senior at Ironwood High School, and I have been attending for all my four years here. One of the reasons why I’m taking journalism is so I can become a better writer, this class will help prepare my writing skills for future jobs or opportunities. I’ve also heard great things about journalism, so I wanted to try it out for myself. I am very excited to be a part of this class. A fun fact about myself is that I love to run. I used to despise any form of running or cardio, but the more I stayed consistent the more I fell in love with the sport.
Addy Kennedy
Hello, my name is Addy Kennedy. I am currently in the ninth grade here at Ironwood. I have been going to school here since the first semester, so for the whole school year. Before Ironwood, I went to school at Heritage Elementary School from first grade through eighth grade. The reason I took journalism was because I would like to become a better writer for future situations, and it piqued my interest when looking over the electives. A fun fact about me that most people would not know is that I really enjoy baking in my free time.
Amy Corral
My name is Amy Corral. I am 15 years old and I’m a freshman here at Ironwood high school. I enjoy listening to music, watching new movies or tv shows, and reading. I had previously been homeschooled all through middle school and 2 years of elementary. But because I wasn’t learning or remembering anything they were teaching me during learning at home, so I came to Ironwood to learn in person and to be more of an open and sociable person. I took journalism class this semester because I’ve always enjoyed writing stories or articles and I was looking for a class that would help me better my writing and expand my writing skills. I am looking forward to taking journalism class this semester.
Isabel Jimenez Hernandez
Hello, my name is Isabel Jiménez Hernández, but a lot of people call me Izzy. I am a sophomore at Ironwood High School obviously. I started at Ironwood the second semester of freshman year, so I have been here for about a year. Previously I went to Arcadia High School in Scottsdale, that was for the first semester. I had to move because it was far from my house, and my mom liked Ironwood more. I am taking Journalism because I want to improve my writing skills, and because I want to step out of my comfort zone and try something new. A fun fact about me is I am supposed to be a junior, but I started school late
Em Pearson
My name is Emily Pearson, but I usually prefer people call me by Em as it makes me more sure that people are talking to me when there’s multiple Emily’s in a class. Currently, I’m finishing up my junior year here at Ironwood High School. I’ve attended this school since first semester of my freshman year and plan to stay here all four years because I really love this school. I’m taking this class because I want to be a journalist one day hopefully and taking this could help me get on that track to getting that job. Fun fact about me is that this is my third semester in Newspaper but my first as the official editor-in-chief.
Andy Ramos
Hello, my name is Andy Ramos. I am a freshman, meaning that it is my first year at Ironwood high school. I am taking Journalism with Mr. Robinson because I believe it will be an awesome new experience. Personally, I am really fascinated with the English language; and I feel like this class will be ton of fun since we get to write articles and learn about news writing. So far, I am absolutely in love with this class, and it might be my favorite behind my Reserve Officer Training Corps program, which is a program sponsored by the United States armed forces in order to enhance character development and prepare students who take the program for after high school. If you take ROTC for all four years of high school, then you can receive up-to $700 extra in monthly salary if you enlist in to any branch of the armed forces. Mr. Robinson is such a blast and I consider him probably the best teacher out of all teachers I have. I enjoy watching the news and discussing it with family and friends. I love spending time with my family and overall, just socializing.
Leslie Underwood
Hello, my name is Leslie Underwood, and I am a sophomore for this school year. I’ve attended school for at least 2 years, but I missed a lot of school days when I was a freshman, or I was just late for my classes a lot. I took journalism because when I first got to choose my classes I didn’t know what I wanted right away, and I was just looking through the classes and I just happened to come across journalism, and it looked interesting, so I clicked it but now that I’m in journalism I now know what It is, and I am glad I took it. One fun fact I have about myself is that I play Roblox and have up to 8 siblings and only 2 out of them go here but half of my siblings are my step sibling’s.

My name is Jackson D. Unger, and I am a junior attending Ironwood High School. I have been attending I.H.S. for the full three years. Currently, I have been trying to crawl out of my comfort zone and dip my toes in new things, hence why I am taking Journalism. A fun fact about me is, I am a retainer of useless and odd facts/ knowledge, more specifically historical and scientific topics.
Justine Bullard
My name is Justine Bullard. I’m a freshman here at Ironwood and I’ve attended IHS all school year. I’m taking journalism this semester because I’ve always had a passion for writing. Something most people don’t know about me is that football is a major part of my life and family. My grandpa was a Cowboys fan, and my dad grew up watching all kinds of sports with him. He devastatingly passed away when my dad was just 16, so football holds a special place in my dad’s heart. Now, I watch the Cowboys games with my dad almost every week. It’s nice to love something that I know my grandpa loved too. My cousin, William, has played football his whole life and plans to pursue a career doing so. To this day, my whole family shares an intense love for football, and it often brings us together
Nada Shrourou
Hi! My name is Nada Shrourou! I am a freshman here at Ironwood and I have been here the whole school year. I joined Journalism because I love writing and is extremely useful when trying to help improve it. It is also a great place to have fun and is very stress-free. Some fun facts about myself are that I love to read. Specifically, mystery books. I also love to watch the show Criminal Minds. It has been my favorite show for a long time and will continue to be for a while.

Hello, my name is Rat Naber, and I am in ninth grade, so that makes me freshman. I have only been attending Ironwood this year. I joined journalism because I thought it would be fun and it sounded like something I would be interested in since I have a passion for writing. I think I am going to join again next year as I’m starting to consider this as a career choice. Some things about mare are that I love batman and most this DC related and I also really enjoy going to thrift stores.

I am taking journalism because I thought it would be fun especially since I used to write stories when I was younger. Some fun facts about me are that I like to play video games, watch movies, and collect whatever rare things I can afford or get my hands on. I really like action and horror movies because they keep me on edge and excite me. My favorite video game is the Resident Evil 4 Remake, which I got for Christmas.

My name is Andrew Prince, and I am a senior at Ironwood high school. I have been going to Ironwood for 4 years and I have enjoyed the last two years very well. I am taking newspaper again to get back into writing and I thought I would give it another shot. Fun fact about me is that I own way too movies on DVDs and I own a lot of movie posters and movie, but all the stuff is horror movie stuff or batman stuff. I am very committed to my script I am writing in film as well.

Hi, my name is Luis Vargas. I am currently in 11th grade, and I have attended Ironwood Highschool since I was a freshman. I have decided to take Newspaper here because I have taken journalism in the past so with having the prior knowledge that I learned in Journalism I thought that, that prior knowledge would have translated very well into newspaper and any future journalistic class that I decide to partake in. With that said, I like describing myself as an independent person as well as a fast learner, I tend to articulate innovative ideas and concepts very well which is why I am a fast learner. I like sticking to the flow and embracing change.

Hi, my name is Tallyn Nearman. I’m a freshman at Ironwood high school. I’ve been here for one semester. I was placed here because I was not allowed to take criminal justice as a freshman.
So far journalism is fun. I love to play Basketball, Soccer, and football. Also, I like to box. I’m pretty good at all of them.

The reason I'm taking journalism is because it was one of the few electives left, and I wanted to learn how to write better. Also, the class overall sounded the most interesting. Kaitlyn Holmes
I am Kaitlin Holmes, a sophomore who has attended Ironwood High school since my freshman year. The reason that I decided to take journalism this year is because I wanted to experiment and discover different ways of writing, instead of the essays I have to write in English. Although, I also felt like I needed some more practice with writing. So, when I saw this class, I decided that it wouldn’t hurt to try it. I had heard from others that had taken this class that it had been relaxed and easy, which convinced me further to take this class. I hope to learn a few things in this class, so that I can write my own stories outside of school. When I have enough experience, I would like to create my own book

My name is Ryan Thomas. I am a senior, and this is my second semester here at Ironwood High School. I took Newspaper because this was my favorite class last semester, and I wanted to take it again no matter what it took. A fun fact about me is that I love reading and writing. My favorite book is Where the Crawdads Sing, but the book I am currently reading may very well dethrone it. Anyone who has read The Perks of Being a Wallflower would understand. The last book I read at any given time seems to have become my favorite.

Hi! My name is Lilly Vickers. I have been at Ironwood the whole time I have been in high school. I am currently a junior and cannot wait for my senior year, and to finally be done. I am in journalism because I love to write, I feel like it is such a helpful and fun way to express yourself and let things out. I enjoy reading and art. I am good at drawing with graphite. I have done several projects and for the most part I am proud of how they turned out. I am also obsessed with horror movies. For fun I love to drive my truck and go out with friends. We normally go camping or have bonfires or anything outdoors.

Some facts about me are that I play basketball here at Ironwood High School. One of my hobbies is cooking for family. Other hobby is travel to different states or place. One of my favorite states to travel to is Denver, Colorado and one state I wound like to travel to is Chicago, Illinois.
