Genshin Impact is a Gacha, free-to-play video game. The base of the game is that there are character banners where you can wish to get a character you can either get a 3 star, 4 stars, or a 5 star and the 5 stars is usually a limited banner. The girl with the ghost’s name is Hu-Tao (Who-ta), she is the limited 5-star character, everyone behind her are 4 stars and you can get them on any banner unlimited banner, there is a picture of what the unlimited banner looks like. The basics of this game are that you collect characters to play then you build them, there are 4 steps to building a character. Step 1 is to level them up, you can only level them up to 90, you level up by either killing enemies or level up books. You get level-up books from Questa and ‘ley lines’ there are two types of ley lines: the blue ones and the gold/yellow ones. The blue ones are for the level books, and the gold ones are for mora (the money currency of the game). Step 2 is to put and build artifacts. There are 5 artifacts you can put for each character. This is an example of a set of artifacts. There are two sets of artifacts you can get from a “Domain.”, to use a Domain you need something called “resin” you get 160 resin each day to spend doing either ley lines or Domains. There are different types of resin. There is fragile resin, which when activated you get 60 regular resin from it, there is condensed resin, which you turn your regular resin to get better rewards from ley lines or Domains, and there is the regular resin you get each day. Finally, step 3, talent level-ups help you do more damage with your basic attack, ability, and ultimate move which you also need to do Domains for. You want to try and level everything equally but focus on your level the most. I strongly encourage you to play it because it is very entertaining and just a nice and relaxing game to play when you have spare time. Honestly, it has given me a lot of comfort playing this game for almost a year now and I do not regret a thing.
