The Amazing Key Club

After every home game, the many of those in the audience that buy food leave the trash behind. It is not very fun to pick up trash that does not belong to you, but Ironwood’s very own Key club has been helping with that and much more. Key is an abbreviation for Kiwanis Educating Youth Club. This group of students has done so much for Ironwood through the years of being an official club.

Everyone in the club has been doing a great job at keeping the bleachers and everything around on the football field nice and clean. Key Club also has been helping all around and has other plans that deserve to be recognized.

There has been chocolate being sold around to help raise money. This chocolate costs a dollar per bar and there are a few flavors you can choose. Key Club also offers rock painting and sticker sales. There are currently a ton of members who keep this club moving and enjoy doing what they can to help the community. Meetings are every other Tuesday in room 220. The club is supervised by Ms. Zint and every student is welcome to join if they like helping out. A few other volunteering opportunities they take part in are working at Food Banks, visiting nursing homes, and helping out in food drives and clean-up projects to keep the community polished.

In the future, Key Club has plans to do volunteer work for Marshall Ranch and a Breast Cancer Marathon. If you are a person who loves helping out the community go stop by it will be worth your time.
