The hype surrounding the new Taco Bell wings has astounded many as the Mexican food restaurant continues to draw attention in 2022. The new 5 piece wings, joined with the spicy ranch sauce that Taco Bell is known for, comes at a price of $5.99 coated in their spicy queso seasoning. As a fan of sauced wings, I was hesitant to try these new chicken wings but decided to give it a go with an open mind. The wings are extra crispy with a hint of spice as I bit into it. I could see the hype for the dry rub seasoning–the flavor of the seasoning is easily noticeable on the palette as the queso seasoning describes a few authentic Mexican flavors which burst on the scene in the very first bite. The spicy ranch is not spicy however, it tastes exactly like store bought ranch you can get at a supermarket nearby. The wings, while flavorful, did lack basic things. Small in size, the wings are overpriced at the cost of $5.99 with only 5 pieces made per box.
Twitter and social media as a whole have gathered to discuss their own
thoughts with many deeming it as good or horrible, this was another reason I became
interested in trying this new temporary item Taco Bell has released.
Fried to a crisp form, the wings were meant to be only available at the store for a week
in each location. Being given a limited amount of supplies, most locations ran out in
just a few days. The chain fast food restaurant has recently been competing with multiple
other fast food rivals in hopes of catching the attention of hungry customers. With rumors of the Mexican pizza and nacho fries coming back to the menu and the polarizing hype of the new wings, it’s safe to say Taco Bell will continue to generate buzz throughout the new year.
The boasting flavor of the wings will certainly gather differing views and opinions in which Taco Bell will handle with no issues as the restaurant goes on to bring new items.
