Spring Spirit Week Is Coming Up!

Victoria Harkless

Assistant Editor-In-Chief

Following last year's theme of “Eagles Run the Board,” Ironwood High School is hosting their annual spring spirit week, which will be taking place from March 29th, through April 3rd. The theme is the “Eagles on the Road.” There will be COVID-19 safe activities during lunch and rewards will be a part of it! They also have a couple of surprises up their sleeve to keep it interesting and change it up this year.

Spirit week starts on Monday, March 29th with “Sweats and Snacks,” dress in your best road trip attire. The dress code is still in effect these days, so NO PAJAMAS. Tuesday (March 30th) continues with the car theme with “Pass Me the Aux” dress as your favorite band member or wear a band t-shirt.

March 31st’s (Wednesday’s) theme is “Way Back Wednesday ,” dressed as a childhood memory. Thursday, April 1st theme is “Arriving at the happiest place on earth,” so be sure to come to school dressed as a Disney character. Friday (April 2nd) is “Back Home Again,” with the attire of class colors. As a reminder, Freshmen are yellow, sophomores are orange, juniors are blue and seniors are pink.

As a reminder, the Student Council is doing class color competitions! There are prizes to be won for spirit as well as a traveling spirit stick. Be sure to participate and help your class get the spirit stick and possibly win some cool prizes in the process. As of right now, the class of 2021 (seniors) is in the lead!

Several other things are going on campus during spirit week. For example, Mr. Ironwood will be held on March 29th at 7 PM; there is an outside assembly on April 2nd held during 5th hour, also on April 2nd, the annual Powder Puff football game will take place in the stadium at 6 PM (powderpuff is scheduled but is subject to change).

You can find all of the fantastic displays detailing each day and appropriate attire in the space way outside the counselors office. Thank you, student council, for all of your hard work in putting this together and doing all of the displays. Here at the Eagle’s Eye, we encourage you to participate in spirit day and have as much fun as possible during the week of festivities!
