Slurpees

Do you like slushies ?

Slushies were invented in the late 1950s and early 1960s and were made by supercooling. A slushie is a type of beverage made of flavored ice and a drink, similar to granitas but with a more liquid. There are over 300 slushies flavors. The most popular flavors are Coca-Cola and wild cherry. My favorite flavor in my opinion is wild cherry or pink lemonade. In 1970, 7-Eleven released a vinyl record with two tracks written just for the Slurpee: “Dance the Slurp,” and in the 1999 album “Brainfreeze”. The most known place to buy slushies is Circle K and 7-Eleven. On a hot day in Arizona most people like buying a slushie or slurpee in the summertime. There are different types of slushies like snow cone, shaved ice, slush puppie, slurpee and granita. Research said “With more than 14 million cups consumed every month, 7-Eleven’s Slurpee might be the most popular frozen beverage in the world.”
