Spirit week is coming up for Ironwood High school and it is excitingly Nickelodeon themed. Ironwood had a homecoming spirit week and tons of kids got involved. Will just as many students, if not more, get involved in this upcoming spirit week?
There are plenty of different ideas for everyday, some creative and others not so creative. Many different characters and shows will get represented but which ones will students find appealing from Monday to Friday? Students get to choose what days they show school spirit but participating everyday is highly recommended. As far as the themes go, Monday is past vs. future named “Nick Jr. vs Teen nick”, Tuesday is “Fairly Odd Parents” which, guessing by the title, means dress like your oh so loving parents, Wednesday is “Lazy Town” giving everyone an excuse to be more laid back at school, Thursday is “Slime Stars”, so dress like a celebrity or grab your fanciest outfit to impress your classmates , and Friday is “Power Rangers” dress all out with your class colors.
Also to start off the week there will be Mr. Ironwood! A beauty pageant where Ironwood Seniors will perform talents to compete for the title of Mr. Ironwood. This will be in the auditorium @7pm.
Do not let it slip your mind that the Powder Puff game is Friday night at 6pm. This is the game of the year when Juniors and Seniors switch it up a bit. Junior and Senior girls will be playing football while the boys will be cheerleading. This is a great representation of Ironwood’s school spirit. Go cheer on your Eagles!
Spirit week seems action packed with fun ideas and cool ways to show spirit to our school. Homecoming was a really fun week for everyone with all the costumes and matching on duo day, with students wearing their class colors and showing up to homecoming even after a long week of school. Ironwood will most likely show out for this new line of ideas shoved into a week right after break. Students must display their school spirit and show a different side of themselves, even if it is out of their comfort zone. Everyone should have fun during spirit week. Enjoy the moment with friends and possibly make new ones along the way. School is a place to learn but do not forget the fun you can have alongside your peers. Spirit week is a great opportunity to create this fun environment.
A lot of students have shown their school spirit with everything we have organized so far this school year, including games and assemblies. Now we have to continue this streak with our Nickelodeon spirit week.
