Turkey Day: a day loved by all American families. It is always nice to spend time with your family around this holiday but there are many on this campus who cannot afford the abundant feasts that others get to enjoy.
Mr. Smith, our marketing and economics teacher, is raising money for those in need this Thanksgiving. This money will be used to buy food for families in need at Ironwood so they can enjoy an abundant Thanksgiving meal. Smith is sending his students out with paper turkeys. These turkeys have a space to identify the person who donated the money and also a space to include how much they donated. The goal for this fundraiser is to have each student who has been given a bag of these turkeys reach $25 in donations. Once this $25 is reached he will then give those who have achieved this goal a new bag of turkeys to start over. Once all of the money is raised, Mr. Smith is going to go out to buy the food with the donation money. This food will then be given to the Ironwood families in need.
This is a great opportunity to give to those here at Ironwood who really need it. If you want to make a donation but do not know anybody with paper turkeys, go to room 608 and let Smith know you want to contribute to the cause!
