Ironwood High School is an amazing high school due to its resources, staff, and environment. Located in Arizona, Ironwood was established in 1986 with the first graduating class being in 1989. The school has flourished as one of the best secondary schools in the state. Principal, Mr. Dunham has provided students with proper staff with teachers taking their own time to help students out when needed. The staff are well diverse with each teaching method provident reaching the student and helping them achieve their goals.

The environment of Ironwood is a comforting and inclusive mood as students are eager to make new friends and learn new things. Even through the struggle of the pandemic, Ironwood’s status did not change. The school’s resource officer is a key help in protecting the school with his guidance also helping shape our student’s roles later on. The guidance counselors are always available in case a student needs any advice whether that be personal or academic.

The school has a famous motto, “It’s just better here!” which in reason has great value to the promise the school ensures. With sports being a major Ironwood prospers in as football, soccer, basketball, etc. Being state champions due to the leading champions coaches guiding them to become their very best in the field of physical activity. The Ironwood pride that every student showcases and grants is prominent in the school with opposing schools envying the power Ironwood presents.

When asking around for students, a question was asked, “Describe Ironwood High School?”, with many answers given. According to one who is anonymous, “Success” which greatly shows off the view stance students share of the school. The school’s mascot, The Eagle, is a symbol of freedom and power which is the exact thing Ironwood is. The journey every student has is very special and continues to shine like a diamond across the state.
