A good film is when the price of dinner, the theater admission and the babysitter were worth it -Alfred Hitchcock.
Mr. Hitchcock is indeed correct, and on February 17th, the release of Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania made all expenses worth every penny. The story is set roughly four years after Avengers: Endgame and follows Scott Lang/Antman (Paul Rudd) in his new life as an accomplished writer. This goes astray when his genius daughter Cassie Lang/Stature (Kathryn Newton) creates a quantum beacon that becomes a portal to the Quantum Realm, our heroes are sucked into the quantum realm where they have to deal with Kang the Conqueror and MODOK. Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania is the 31st film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the first film of Phase 5, whilst the film received mixed reviews, the author begs to differ. The author believes Ant-Man 3 is a major comeback for Marvel following its lackluster performances in Doctor Strange 2 and Thor 4. Whether one likes it or not, Ant-Man 3 is integral to the Multiverse Saga as not only does it further reveal Kang, but introduces Stature who will be part of the Young Avengers and love interest of the yet to be seen Nathaniel Richards/Iron Man. Phases 4 and 5 have been a launchpad for the next generation of heroes with the introduction of Wiccan, Speed, America Chavez, Kate Bishop, Patriot, Love and Kid Loki in the last several films/series, Vision was also fortunately resurrected at the end of Wandavision. Most recently, Princess Shuri took the role of Black Panther following the death of her brother King T’Challa, Peter Parker has also moved into a new phase of heroism following the death of Aunt May in Spider-Man: No Way Home. In the future, Noh-Varr and Hulkling will likely be introduced in The Marvels which is set to be released in November, though they could have an appearance in Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3 which will release in May. As for Iron Lad, he has the potential to show up in Loki Season 2 or the new Fantastic Four movie, Prodigy can only appear in one film and that is Deadpool 3 due to its affiliation with the X-Men. But for now we watch, we predict and we wait to see what will happen next, for the only one who truly knows what is next is Kevin Feige.
