Valentine's Day is a day of love that occurs every year on the fourteenth of February. However, this year will most likely be the first year any of us experience Valentine’s Day during a pandemic.
It is a must with how things are in the world to enjoy Valentine's indoors to keep you and your loved one, or your friends safe. So this is where the idea of Indoor Valentine’s comes into play!
According to townandcountrymag.com there are plenty of ways to spend your valentines inside your home. This first plan they thought of was an indoor picnic by clearing up space, opening up the windows and enjoying a nice meal, maybe sneak a candle or two while you are at it. If it is a date and your partner cannot join you, make the picnic scene fairly small so that they could see it over a video call! Yes, it will not be the same, but this is what is going to have to happen for everyone's safety. Though, consider if you have a backyard, it will be just like a regular picnic!
Do not like the idea of indoor or outdoor picnics? Maybe try a quarantine date night. Spend the whole day watching a movie together on the couch as you get to enjoy each other’s company and even the movie together!
Another great idea would be to play board games together! Do trivia together, play cards, but perhaps avoid Monopoly (no need to fight on Valentine’s Day). Doing arts and crafts is not a bad idea either. Maybe painting together could be nice. A Bob ross painting might be fun to do together, so why not try it out. Perhaps invite a few friends and play charades, or Never have I ever as long as everyone involved feels safe.
Maybe bake together in the kitchen, getting to make some couple cookie dough then roll out the cookies on the spreadsheet and enjoy fresh baked cookies would be a lovely memory. Or maybe just go crazy! Melt chocolate and start putting it on everything and try it out with him/her; they are sure to love it!
Valentines this year will be rough and it is hard to get together with the people or that special someone you love, but there are plenty of ways you could spend it that are not even here in this article. The only thing that is stopping you from your fantastic date is your creativity. Afterall, the sky is the limit!.
