Earlier this week, USA Today released a list of the ten best haunted destinations in America. People around the world voted on their personal favorite spooky destination. This year the first-place winner was Zak Bagans’ haunted museum.

Zak Bagans is a paranormal investigator in Las Vegas, Nevada. He started the show Ghost Adventures in 2008 in which he leads his team in investigations at a variety of different haunted places. After 19 seasons of the show, Zak Bagans bought a heavily haunted house previously owned by an important businessman. The house was built in the 1930s and has been owned by many different people, some who have even passed away there. There have also been rumors of very dark rituals that took place in the house during the 1970’s. Zak has always wanted a museum and this house was the perfect destination to make this dream come alive.

Throughout the years Zak has been purchasing haunted items from many different places. As the collection has grown, he could start bringing the museum together. He continues to buy new items to go in his museum as well. A few of the items in the museum include two Dybbuk Boxes which are the world's most haunted objects, the Devil’s Rocking Chair, two human skeletons that were used in Odd Fellows initiation and Ted Bundy’s glasses. There is also a haunted doll room in the museum. One of the most famous and haunted dolls in this room is Peggy. There are over 80 cases of people who got sick by being in Peggy’s presence or even just looking at pictures of her.

With 30 rooms and hundreds of haunted objects this is a very popular place many people like to visit, especially if they are interested in the paranormal. Admission tickets cost $44 and tours last about an hour to an hour and a half. To attend the museum, you must be at least 16 with an adult with you. In addition to this, you may not record in any way or take pictures when at the museum. Also, a waiver must be signed before entering which just shows you how serious these objects really are.

Zak Bagans has worked very hard on this museum and continues to do so today. His museum is extremely popular and loved by many. With all the haunted objects and more to come it is clear why Zak Bagans’ museum got number one.
