Many have been saddened by the cancelation of the Warped Tour in 2018 but we may have found the next best thing! Aftershock is a three-day festival in California chalk full of both the latest rock bands and classic rock bands.
You may be a little skeptical about this festival but fear not! Not only is Metallica headlining one of the three days but so is My Chemical Romance! My Chemical Romance officially came out of retirement on Halloween night of 2019 then proceeded to play a huge concert around Christmas time. Now, they are going to be one of the headliners for this rock version of Coachella.
If you are not really a big fan of My Chemical Romance or Metallica, you will have three whole days of bands like Asking Alexandria, Black Veil Brides, Rancid, Rise Against, Seether, Pennywise, Anthrax, The Pretty Reckless, Social Distortion, Machine Gun Kelly and even Mastodon. The whole festival will be held at Discovery Park California from October 8th through October 10th. The official website for Aftershock states that you can preorder your tickets now and that you can make $20-dollar payments, so that it will be all paid off by the time you go. The ticket prices for general admission for just one day is around $120 dollars not including VIP and ticket prices for the whole weekend is around $330 dollars. Though, if you do decide to get VIP for just one day it will be about $250 dollars and if you want VIP passes for the entire weekend it will be about $620 dollars.
The money spent will be well worth it when you properly get there and you get to have this once in a lifetime experience with all of these amazing bands. You could even discover a new band that you like so much they could stick with you forever. This concert will put you with a whole bunch of strangers who are just like you with the same collective thoughts and feelings about these amazing people who provide us with beautiful sounds.
