Maintaining One's Mental and Emotional Health

Cami Lyte

This article will go over how to keep your mental and emotional well-being healthy during quarantine. Try your best to remember that this sickness that is going around is only temporary, not permanent.

If you are scared, try not to be. Yes, there is an issue that is going on in the world, but it will blow over. If you are feeling bored, go hangout with family or play board games with your siblings (if you have any). Also, yes, I know this home lockdown is kind of upsetting because you cannot go hang out with friends, but it is for the better of everyone's safety.

Look around the world and see how others are handling quarantine, and maybe ask someone you know how they are doing and dealing with it. Try to do things that you have always wanted to do at home, watch that movie, play that game, cook that thing you always wanted to try to cook. Try and stay distracted instead of focusing more on the illness. Or do things you love like going outside, take your dog on a walk, draw, play games, just do things that you will know make time go by.

Do your homework and do not ignore the fact you have schoolwork you need to do for your classes, since we are all online now. You can always call or text your friends at any point in time to see how they are. Do not get stressed about how all of this is going to play out. It is going to be okay, trust me.

There have been many illnesses like this one that scared the whole world but we are all still here and alive. Just think of it as the flu and take care of yourselves by washing your hands and cleaning yourself up so you are staying safe. always take care of yourselves and stay safe!
