Foodie Review: The Hub Grill and Bar

How long has it been since you tried a new restaurant? For most people right now the answer to this would be quite a bit longer than it might have been last year. Keeping safety in mind, it may be about time to change your answer by visiting The Hub Grill and Bar in Mesa, Arizona.

The biggest factor in determining a restaurant’s value is their food quality. At The Hub, their food is seriously impressive from the taste to the presentation. One great example is their shrimp ceviche. It is an amazing mixture of chopped up shrimp, Pico, cucumber, jicama, and avocado served with citrus juice in a giant glass goblet. The delicious mixture is then put on a tray surrounded by tortilla chips.

Much of the other menu items are similar to this sort of over-the-top dish. For those who would like to try something new, The Hub has unique dishes like Cauliflower Nachos and Cheesy Mashed Potato Balls that look picture worthy. For the tamer selection, The Hub also offers plenty of burgers, as well as classic appetizers such as their Basket of Pretzels, which comes with unlimited dipping cheese. Though they do not promise a completely gluten free kitchen, The Hub also offers an entirely separate Gluten Free Menu.

Another aspect of a restaurant that is examined closely to determine its worth is their atmosphere. While The Hub will not be winning any awards for elegance and prestige, there are few places that pull off the family pub look so well. Their color scheme of black and gold with accents of red, has been well matched with the glossy wood of the furniture and walls. Moreover, the waiters of the restaurant are attentive but not straining, which helps add to the comfortable but orderly style. Of course, masks are required for all who enter the building and the locations are social distancing their tables.

If this article has inspired you to give The Hub a try, they have two locations in Mesa, Arizona. The first is called The Hub Sossaman and its address is 1925 S Sossaman Rd Mesa, AZ 85209. Their second location, The Hub Stapley, has the address of 1860 S Stapley Dr Mesa, AZ 85204. Considering that Ironwood is located in Glendale, the rive to these restaurants is quite far, so be sure to have a playlist ready for the car ride.

All things considered, The Hub Grill and Bar may be just what you need to break your boring restaurant routine.
