If you have forgotten, as it has slipped many people's minds, Easter is right around the corner. Last year this holiday was one of the first to be ruined, although we still must be cautious and extra safe, there are many ways to have fun this time around.
A common craft done on Easter that is always good fun is dying eggs. This is fairly simple, usually not messy and can be fun for anyone. You, if you did not know, have to boil the eggs first then you start dipping them in the coloring of choice. This could be store-bought coloring, edible food dye, or if you want to get fancy, homemade dyes using turmeric, onion skins and beets. You can also add other little touches to these eggs with stickers, markers, or other craft materials that seem fit. Make sure to take pictures of the process or Zoom family members and friends who you would like to do this with.
An egg hunt on Easter is definitely one of the biggest things many families partake in. Obviously, concerning the conditions we are in, public events with this activity are not taking place. An indoor Easter egg hunt can be just as fun and much safer. Choose a room, or several if there are many eggs to hide, and put them in well sanitized hiding spots. That is pretty much all there is to it, besides obviously searching for them. Make them as hidden as you can and watch people in your household get frustrated about how good you are at hiding some eggs.
Gifts on Easter can be a fun thing to receive as well as to give. A nice little gift for a friend or family member can be just the right thing to get them in the happy Easter mood. This can be simple and cheap while also making someone's day. For example, you could bring over a nice easter themed gift basket to your neighbors in order to brighten up their holiday and still keep your distance. You can also get candy, a cute stuffed animal, bunny ears, or anything really for someone you care about. Everyone appreciates gifts and this could be a good way to make it a memorable Easter.
Although, this year Easter will not be the same as every other year it has been celebrated, it can still be just as fun. Make sure you stay safe and take an idea or two if you want. Have a good Easter.
