Bowling Club News

Suds Richardson

Staff Reporter

Bowling Club is a new club at Ironwood. It is run by Coach Hanson and is primarily student led. In it being primarily student led, it actually does not have any set meetings, but rather meet at the student leaders’ request and you can join by emailing him and getting a link to the Teams group.

Coincidentally, the bowling club was started up amidst the pandemic, and from that, the club has never actually gone officially bowling together! It has been difficult to get the club truly running as it should be, but nonetheless the members are determined in their efforts to get on their feet. This is to say that not only are they planning to this year, but that members of the club have gone out on their own to bowl as a group a few times outside of any meetings. The club hopes that from their fundraiser last year, selling meat sticks around campus, they can go bowling officially as a club with the sponsor there as well this year.

Another part of Bowling Club is that anyone of any skill level is welcome. Coach Hanson said that no matter if you are a beginner or are in a league everyone should come to have fun. The Bowling Club is not made for those who are experts but rather those who just want to have a good time with others who love to bowl just as much as they do. It is a community for the sport and anyone interested in it can email Hanson and become a part of the team.
