Staff Reporter

Godzilla and King Kong are back at it again! An upcoming movie about them is going to be premiered on March 31st, a Wednesday, to theaters near you. Many movies of the sort have been made before and this one is exciting critics.

With today’s technology, a fight like theirs will definitely look realistic. The movie's popularity has sparked many movies for the franchise and a crossover between two well known monsters will definitely be hard to look away from. This will be the fourth film in what they call the “monsterverse” according to Gael Fashingbauer Cooper on cnet.com.

If you do not know who King Kong and Godzilla are, they are two monsters that first appeared in theatres with their own movies. King Kong first made an appearance in theatres during 1933 with its film King Kong. On the other hand, Godzilla first made an appearance in theatres during 1954 with its Japanese film Godzilla. Both monsters have faced each other before in the 1962 movie King Kong vs. Godzilla and while the two monsters have faced one another before, the remake is most likely to be higher quality with this era’s film technology.

While the movie does not have a firm plot that has been made known, it is known that humans are unaware of why Godzilla destroys everything around them so they turn to King Kong since he has a better background with sympathizing with humans like an orphaned girl named Jia. The MonsterVerse has introduced many monsters like King Kong and Godzilla and some may even make a brief appearance in the new movie according to Kaijuologist from Twitter.

The two monsters are a collaboration from Legendary Entertainment and Warner Bros. Many who are excited for this film's feature with its official trailer setting a new record for Warner bros. When released, you can watch the movie on HBO Max if you would prefer to refrain from watching it in theatres due to the pandemic still going on. If you do decide to watch it in theatres then be sure to practice social distancing and wear your masks. Therefore, grab your popcorn and let us see some action!
